PRESS RELEASE – 03 JUNE 2017

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the officers of the Larchmont Police Department during the week beginning 05/27/17 and ending 06/03/17

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A Bayonne NJ man was arrested on 5/29 and charged with operating with suspended driving privileges after he was observed operating a vehicle on Chatsworth Ave and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on $50 bail.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A West Ave resident was arrested on 5/30 and charged with operating with a suspended driver license after she was observed operating a vehicle on Boston Post Rd and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on her own recognizance.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC/PENAL LAW ARREST

A Bronx man was arrested on 6/1 after he was observed operating a vehicle on Railroad Way and committing a traffic infraction. David ORSINO, 29, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Unlicensed Operation. The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on $50 bail.

PENAL LAW ARREST

A White Plains man was arrested on 6/1 after the vehicle in which he was a passenger was observed committing a traffic infraction on Boston Post Rd. Michael PINA, 35, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and released on $100 bail.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A Pleasant Valley man was arrested on 6/2 and charged with operating with suspended driver license after he was observed operating a vehicle on Boston Post Rd and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on his own recognizance.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A New Rochelle man was arrested on 6/2 and charged with operating with suspended driver license after he was observed operating a vehicle on Boston Post Rd and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on his own recognizance.

PENAL LAW ARREST

Two seventeen-year-old Bronx men were arrested on 6/3 after they entered and fled in a vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a Oak Ave residence, leading Police Officers on a brief high speed pursuit.  The suspect operating the stolen vehicle was unable to negotiate a turn and the vehicle became inoperable, at which time a foot pursuit ensued.  The two were subsequently taken into custody.  They were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd, Grand Larceny 3rd, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer, and Criminal Mischief 4th.  The suspect operating the vehicle was additionally charged with Reckless Driving and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations. They were arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2500 bail.
