PRESS RELEASE – 28 MARCH 2015

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the officers of the Larchmont Police Department during the week beginning 03/21/15 and ending 03/28/15.

PENAL LAW ARREST

A New Rochelle man was arrested on 3/23 after Larchmont Police Officers received a report of an activated alarm at a Chatsworth Ave restaurant. Oscar SANTOYO, 19, was charged with Burglary 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Petit Larceny, arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.

BURGLARY

The superintendent of a East Ave apartment building reported on 3/24 that sometime during the overnight hours someone entered the building and attempted to remove a VTM from the wall in the laundry room of the building.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Mayhew Ave reported on 3/21 that when she attempted to file her taxes she was notified that someone had previously filed a return using her information.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A New Rochelle man was arrested on 3/27 and charged with operating with a suspended license he was observed driving a vehicle on Palmer and committing a traffic infraction. The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on his own recognizance.
