PRESS RELEASE – 07 OCTOBER 2017

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the officers of the Larchmont Police Department during the week beginning 09/30/17 and ending 10/07/17

PENAL LAW ARREST

A Mount Vernon woman was arrested on 10/1 after Larchmont Police Officers responded to a dispute between two individuals on Palmer Ave.  Tanisha HEYWARD, 28, was charged with False Personation and released on $50 bail to the custody of City of Mount Vernon Police pursuant to a Warrant of Arrest.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A Harrison man was arrested on 10/5 and charged with operating with suspended driver license after he was observed driving a vehicle on Larchmont Ave and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on his own recognizance.

PENAL LAW ARREST

A Uniondale man was arrested on 10/6 after he attempted to cash a fraudulent check at Citibank on Palmer Ave.  Lavaughn BENNETT, 25, was charged with Attempted Grand Larceny 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a False Instrument 3rd degree and released on $500 bail.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A Port Chester man was arrested on 10/7 and charged with operating with suspended driver license after he was observed driving a vehicle on Palmer Ave and committing a traffic infraction.  The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on $50 bail.
